Not satisfied with the product you received or is something not right?

We offer a 14-day reflection period for all our products. This policy applies to consumers only.
You may decide to return your product within 14 days after the day you – or a third party designated by you, who is not the carrier – physically receive the product.
Your decision to return must be received by us within this 14-day period.

The cost of returning your products is at your own expense. The product must be returned in its original packaging and must not show any signs of use.


The return process works as follows:

  1. Send an email to info@sdb.nu, including your order number, the name (or article number) of your product, and the reason for the return.
    Please also indicate whether you would like a replacement or a refund.
    You can find a return form via this link (return form), but you are not required to use it.

  2. Arrange for the product to be collected and returned to SDB Vitrinebouw (the address can be found on our website).

  3. Once we have received your product, we will inspect the return shipment.

  4. If your product is received in good condition, we will either deliver a replacement product or refund the payment to your account.


Refunds

Once you have returned the products, you will receive a refund of all payments made up to that point.
This also includes the delivery costs (except for any additional costs incurred if you chose a delivery method other than our standard, lowest-cost delivery).
You will receive the refund as soon as possible, and in any case no later than 14 days after we have received your notice of withdrawal.

We will refund you using the same payment method you used for the original transaction, unless you have explicitly agreed otherwise.
In most cases, the amount will be refunded directly to your bank account.
You will not be charged any fees for this refund.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back, or until you have provided proof that the goods have been returned — whichever comes first.


Returning the Products and Costs

You must return or hand over the products to us as soon as possible, but no later than 14 days after the day you informed us of your decision to withdraw.
You are on time if you send the products back before the 14-day period has expired.

The costs for returning a display cabinet from the Netherlands (excluding the Wadden Islands) are at your expense, and we cannot provide an exact amount in advance.
The return shipping costs are estimated at a maximum of approximately €125.00.


Inspection of Returned Products

Returned products will be inspected upon receipt.
If we discover any damage or signs that the products have been used beyond what is necessary to determine their nature, characteristics, and functioning, you will be held liable for any resulting depreciation in value.


Exceptions to the Right of Return

There are several exceptions to the right of return.
The most important is that custom-made products cannot be returned.
A custom-made product is defined as:

  • A product manufactured according to the customer’s specifications, not prefabricated, and made based on an individual choice or decision by the consumer, or a product clearly intended for a specific person.


Complaints and Customer Service

We do everything we can to make and keep our customers satisfied.
We aim to provide excellent service and respond quickly to any comments, suggestions, or complaints.
A quick phone call to our office is often the fastest way to resolve any issues.

If you are not satisfied with our service, please send an email to info@sdb.nu to submit your complaint.
You will receive an acknowledgment of receipt as soon as possible, after which we will contact you within one working day to discuss further handling.

Consumers always have the right to file a complaint with the Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform of the European Commission:

In our Consumer Terms and Conditions, the following provision applies:
Dutch law governs this agreement.
Only the Dutch civil court competent in the consumer’s place of residence will handle disputes between the consumer and the entrepreneur, unless this is contrary to mandatory law.

*For the supply of display cabinets to the business market, the General Terms and Conditions for the Manufacture and Supply of Metal Products (AVVLM) apply.
