UV bonding was first used in the aerospace industry, but has since become an indispensable part of furniture manufacturing and shopfitting. The adhesives are exceptionally strong and invisible.

This technique is suitable for joining glass to glass, glass to plastic or glass to metal. One of the parts to be bonded must always be transparent or translucent, as UV adhesive cures under the influence of ultraviolet light. Thanks to its high strength, the adhesive is perfect for load-bearing structures, such as glass furniture and display cabinets. However, UV bonding is not suitable for aquariums.

Crystal-clear transparency through UV bonding

To speed up the curing process, we use LED UV lamps. We adjust these with extreme precision to create a stress-free, strong bond that is not sensitive to sunlight or other weather conditions. This also ensures that the adhesive does not discolour and retains a clear transparency. It is there, yet it is not.

We use this bonding technique regularly. We always employ this technique for our table display cabinets.
